Personal Injury Paralegal
We're looking for a sharp, organized paralegal to join our New Jersey practice. You'll support attorneys handling personal injury matters, with a heavy focus on motor vehicle accidents, from intake through resolution — managing case files, preparing filings, coordinating with clients and providers, and keeping matters moving. We're a tech-forward company, and this is a great role for someone who wants real responsibility and direct exposure to how a modern legal team runs.
What you’ll do
- Prepare, proofread, and file legal documents, correspondence, and court filings,
- Manage case files and matter calendars, tracking deadlines and court dates
- Conduct legal and factual research to support attorneys across practice areas
- Coordinate with clients, courts, and opposing counsel on scheduling and document requests
- Assist with discovery, including organizing productions and privilege logs
What we’re looking for
- 3+ years of paralegal experience at a law firm or in-house legal team (or a paralegal certificate with strong internship experience)
- Experience with New Jersey personal injury practice — you know NJ courts, PIP requirements, and filing procedures
- Exceptional organization and attention to detail — deadlines never slip past you
- Strong written communication and proofreading skills
- Comfort juggling multiple matters and priorities at once
- Proficiency with document management tools and e-filing systems
- Your focus will be pre-litigation: opening and managing case files, requesting and tracking medical records and bills, monitoring treatment status, preparing PIP applications and handling PIP-related correspondence, drafting demand packages, and coordinating with insurance carriers. You'll also handle client communication and statute of limitations and deadline tracking throughout.
- While the day-to-day is pre-litigation, we build every file as if it's going to trial. That's why we want someone with litigation and trial experience — you know what a trial-ready file looks like, and you work backward from there. Records are complete and organized, liability evidence is preserved early, damages are documented thoroughly, and nothing gets left for litigation counsel to chase down later. If a case doesn't settle, the file is ready to move, not rebuilt.
- A large part of this role involves working hand-in-hand with our overseas BPO team, which handles intake, records retrieval, and case support functions. You'll coordinate daily with BPO agents, review and quality-check their work product, keep shared workflows and trackers current, and serve as the bridge between the BPO function and our attorneys — so comfort collaborating across time zones and through digital tools is essential.
Benefits
- Medical, Dental, and Eye insurance coverage
- 401k with employer match
- Strong competitive compensation
Fair chance hiring
- Qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records will be considered for employment in accordance with applicable fair chance laws.
